Alive in Stereo

I have created another patch that uses webcams to overlap the image creating a stereoscopic image that can be perceived as 3D with special glasses. It also tracks the subject in the room, the closer they go to the right speaker the volume goes to the left, the more they go to the left it pans to the right.
It tries to bring the subject into the piece to highlight distance between reality and a work of art. They arreal in this perceptual trick.
The meaning of the piece is spoken as audio and as it pans away from the subject it prevents them from finding out the official meaning.





This has been a bit dodgy as there is a nasty scrubbing sound when the volume goes up or down. I have limited this by changing the process of volume..... could be a bit better if the hid_smooth piece worked for me.....

Private View

I have created a frame stencil that can be sprayed onto wallpaper. This can then be cut out and pasted onto walls. Watch this space for the results......

Assesment of Graph

For the assesment I performed Grpah to Andy and Maria. I found this to give me more confidence in a performance I was not too content with. Still some of the imagery needs to be stronger and my writing style needs to be cleaner and more graffitiesque.
I also saw new layers in that the gallery goers seem to be behind a cage in the end. Similar to the cages of our own homes. Maria suggested not to knock on the door which I accept but I waas aware that when done infront of an audience this got a good laugh and so I must question this. Audience enjoyment and intreeging involvement or artistic integrity?

Virtual Scratch

I have created a turntable like instrument that uses two webcams as controlers. One controls the record and the other controls the fader. It caused many problems at first and typical of PD took for ever to solve. It needs more work but should sound good.
Propper geek stuff.....

Endometaphysics

Endophysics studys how the observations are affected and limited by the observer being within the universe. Endometaphysics studys the mental state the observer is in when realising they are an observer within the universe of a work of art.
