Pitch to Visuals

I want to create an interactive video instalation. If I can get a microphone to pick up the voice of the audience get a programme to decipher the pitch to give a midi output I can then trigger visuals in arkaos, VJ software. I am having problems finding a free pitch to midi VST but I have it almost otherwise set up. I have dropped the latency as much as possable in Cubase and so itsshould run smoothly......
I would like to use a fake CCTV camera as the shell of the mic and allow the images off CCTV footage of that gallery space or of the Tate CCTV footage to be projected or appear on TV. Music is a product of culture yet art claims to be high culture. When someone feels the fear of the gallery space and CCTV they will be reluctant to sing but it is only in their singing can they enjoy the piece.

GRAPH at Human - Being - Human 2

On the 29/1/06 The Performance Company of UAL put on another performance art show at Nolia's Gallery on the Old Kent Road. Here I show my old work Cellular and a new work Graph. Graph entails a projection onto a sheet of paper hanging on the wall. I draw on the paper around the projection and do minimum performance. The basic ideas are the same. Gallery and residentail flat control. Here the aesthetic nature of the frame is compared to the aesthetics of appartment gates. Gates create a lack of communication between the public but attempt to hide this by trying to be ornate. I feel the same for the gallery frame. This piece also relates to how graffiti has been brought into the gallery and the artmarket.
